Who we are

Chase This Productions was founded in 2024 by Jessica Chase, an independent producer and creative consultant working across theater, television, and film. Since its inception, CTP has produced the World Premiere of pre-existing condition by Marin Ireland, (dir. Maria Dizzia), the US premiere of STRATEGIC LOVE PLAY by Miriam Battye (dir. Katie Posner), and the upcoming UK premiere of JAJA’s AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING by Jocelyn Bioh (dir. Monique Touko). 

 

Prior to founding CTG, Jessica produced theater with various companies in New York for over 13 years. Most recently, she created and launched the commercial theater arm of Mark Gordon Pictures, leading and co-producing with teams for Broadway productions of Life of Pi, POTUS; Or Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying To Keep Him Alive, and The Piano Lesson. She also produced the UK debut of Jocelyn Bioh’s SCHOOL GIRLS; OR, THE AFRICAN MEAN GIRLS PLAY with The Lyric Hammersmith, Francesca Moody Productions, and Idris Elba. 

 

Before MGP, Jessica was the Artistic Producer of MCC Theater where she worked from 2011 until 2020, overseeing the development of new work, programming, and production. In her time there she produced 37 works including World, US, and New York Premieres by notable artists such as notable artists such as Aziza Barnes, Jocelyn Bioh, Halley Feiffer, Ross Golan, Jennifer Haley, Anna Jordan, JC Lee, Matthew Lopez, John Pollono, Matthew Perry, Duncan Sheik, Steven Sater, Penelope Skinner, Jen Silverman, Simon Stephens, Lucy Thurber, and Loy Webb.
